Aaron’s Solo Guys Trip

Aaron’s Story
Aaron was in the middle of a difficult divorce, with the holidays approaching and stress mounting. He realized he needed a true break — a vacation that would let him breathe again. Having never cruised before, he turned to me for guidance, trusting me as his best friend’s mother-in-law to help make it seamless.
Planning wasn’t simple: living in Delta Junction, Alaska, meant his closest international airport was in Fairbanks, 90 minutes away. On top of that, Aaron only had a passport card. Since I always recommend full passports, we had to factor in an in-person passport agency visit en route.
Together, we designed a plan that gave Aaron the freedom, adventure, and relaxation he needed — with every detail handled so it could truly be a no-worries vacation.

Highlights of the Trip
Aaron’s journey began with a flight from Fairbanks to Seattle, where he stayed overnight and secured his passport in person. From there, he continued to Los Angeles for a pre-cruise stay at the iconic Queen Mary Hotel before boarding his first-ever cruise.
Onboard, he enjoyed a mix of adventure and relaxation. Marlin fishing became a highlight, while a booked massage gave him the reset he was craving. Solo traveler meetups connected him with new friends for meals and excursions, and he appreciated the flexibility to cancel one activity when he decided to do something different.
Through it all, I monitored flights, hotel check-ins, and logistics so Aaron could stay focused on enjoying his time.
Aaron’s Words
“Kim was great. I told her what I would like to do. She planned and scheduled everything. It was a true no worries vacation.” – Aaron
Why This Story Matters
Aaron’s experience proves that solo travel isn’t lonely — it’s empowering. Even in the middle of life’s hardest seasons, the right trip can offer freedom, renewal, and joy. Guys trips don’t always have to mean big groups — sometimes the best adventure is the one you design for yourself.
